Emeline Mandeville - Midwife
Emeline approaches health care with a deep respect for each patient she serves. Empowered by her own birth experience, and wanting to make a difference for other women, Emeline pursued a M.A. in Social Policy with a focus on women’s health while completing required prerequisites for midwifery school. In 2014, she completed her Master of Science in Midwifery from Philadelphia University (now The Midwifery Institute at Jefferson). Emeline worked as a midwife for 4 1/2 years in a traditional medical setting at SUNY Upstate and Cayuga Medical Center.
With the intention to provide a higher quality of care Emeline opened her own women’s health practice specializing in holistic, respectful and personalized care for women of all ages.
My Approach
I believe that women are the masters of their own bodies and deserve access to health care that is respectful, empowering, informative, holistic and personalized.
Our Office Space
Midwifery care
Midwives affirm the power and strength of women and the importance of their health in the well-being of families, communities and nations. We believe in the basic human rights of all persons, recognizing that women often incur an undue burden of risk when these rights are violated.
We believe every person has a right to:
Equitable, ethical, accessible quality health care that promotes healing and health
Health care that respects human dignity, individuality and diversity among groups
Complete and accurate information to make informed health care decisions
Self-determination and active participation in health care decisions
Involvement of a woman's designated family members, to the extent desired, in all health care experiences
Midwifery care includes health promotion, disease prevention, risk assessment and management, and individualized wellness education and counseling.
Midwives provide care for all individuals who seek midwifery care, inclusive of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
